This session will share you the benefits, disadvantages and possible pitfalls of various with MySQL High Availability solutions (including shared storage plus Clusterware, Master-slave replication, Group Replication, and DB Cluster) and how to avoid the pitfall. I also will concludes my experience from several MySQL implementation projects, hope you may learn how to apply the right solutions for your applications and how to make the best from those solutions.

Ivan Tu (杜修文)

Ivan Tu ( 杜修文 ) joins MySQL Global Business Unit at Oracle since 2010, now he leads the MySQL Greater China and Korea Solution Engineering team, his team is promoting MySQL technology and helps enterprise users to apply MySQL, and join large scale MySQL projects of critical customers in GC&KR region.

He got MySQL DBA and MySQL Cluster Administrator certification since 2010.

He also hosts Taiwan MySQL User Group ( 台灣MySQL使用者社群 ) which is a very active community with more than 3100 members, he organizes monthly group meetings to share MySQL technologies and best practices to the audience.

Prior current position, Ivan worked as a solution architect at Sun Microsystems, where he was responsible for the promotion of SOA and system middleware technologies. He also worked as an instructor and training manager at the Oracle University, teaching Oracle databases, development tools and Java courses.
